About Pitbull Pumps
Innovation through Simplicity...
SIMPLICITY...in a word, that's what the Pitbull Pump provides: an innovative, simple solution to many of the industry's most difficult pumping applications. SIMPLE because it provides you with a minimum of maintenance and yet a brilliant design. SIMPLE because you can use the same type pump throughout your facility with interchangeable parts. SIMPLE because you can pump almost any combination of liquid and solids.
Using only two check valves and a hollow chamber, the Pitbull fills and then discharges any kind of liquid and/or solid that can flow through its wide open inlet.

The operation of the Pitbull is inherently automatic unlike conventional pumps, so it will match the cycle rate to the inflow rate, and shut itself off when flow stops without needing level controls. Pitbulls use compressed air as the motive force, acting directly on the liquid without the need for diaphragms or seals. The all-pneumatic operation simplifies installation, eliminates shock hazards and is suitable for explosion-proof areas.
Submersible pumps:
Pitbulls are available in the following standard pipe sizes: 2", 3", 4" and 8x6" in both steel and 316SS construction. Flow ranges are from 0-350 gpm, with a maximum head of 250'. Higher flow rates can be achieved with custom pumps on request. Solids capacities are equal to the pipe size in 2"-4" units and 5.5" diameter in the larger pumps.
Typical applications are trash sumps, mill scale, bottom ash, raw sewage, machining chips, coal, paper stock and general solids or slurry handling services. Hot liquids, hazardous locations, remote sites, oil/water separators are among the many other niche applications that are popular.
Filter-press feed/dewatering pumps:
Pitbull pumps are also used for sludge/slurry transfer and dewatering applications. With their outstanding ability to handle abrasives, multiple viscosities and variable heads the Pitbulls are a natural maintenance reducer for these applications. Sizes available are 3" and 4" in both steel and 316SS.
